The Trustee for Willis Park Trust T/A Pristine Dry Cleaners (ABN: 33 896 512 288) are the entity for which the Terms and Conditions, and associated dry cleaning services apply. By using our services you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please note these may change from time to time.

suitability for dry cleaning

By using our services, you agree that your items are suitable to be laundered and dry cleaned. We cannot be responsible for any damage to items that is not suitable for these standard processes. Similarly, we reserve the right to refuse to service items that we feel will be hazardous to our staff, such as items heavily soiled with human or animal waste - this is for the health and safety of our team.

care for items

To protect your garments, we follow the Care Label instructions on each item we process. If you request garment treatment which is contradictory to that indicated on the Care Label instructions, we will make an attempt to contact you and advise you of the potential risks associated with proceeding with the treatment.

If we are unable to gain your informed approval to proceed, we shall refrain from cleaning the garment in question, or take extensive digital photography of the garment(s) prior and/or during cleaning. If you authorise us to proceed, you must assume responsibility for any damage to the garment(s).

We accept no liability for garments that have missing or removed Care Labels.

We check garments for any damage that could be exacerbated by the dry cleaning and laundering process. Likewise, if we have any concern about the colourfastness, age, or condition of the garment, we will contact you in a similar fashion to obtain your approval, or return the garment to you untreated, or take extensive digital photography of the garment(s) prior and/or during cleaning.

stain removal &
re-cleaning

Customers are responsible to mention all stains when leaving their garments with us. We will only process stained items under owner's risk, and the results cannot be guaranteed.

 

We aim to remove all stains, but in some cases this is not possible. The chances of stain removal are reduced if any non-professional techniques have been applied, prior to our services, such as the use of water or soda. As much as we would like to guarantee the removal of every stain, we are unable to do so.

We inspect every garment before returning them to you to ensure that they meet our strict quality measures. It should be noted however that we may not be able to remove all stains safely from your garments, but we will make every attempt to remove stains without damage to your garment. If it is our professional opinion that stain removal will be unsafe, stain removal efforts will not proceed/cease.

​By leaving your stained items with us for cleaning, you confirm that you accept our terms and conditions. This means, in the event that the chosen method of processing damages your item, we will not be held liable.

damage

We exercise utmost care in dry cleaning and processing garments entrusted to us and use such processes, which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and conditions of each individual garment.

 

Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials which may result in tears or the development of small holes in fabric that are not readily apparent prior to processing. In dry cleaning and laundering, we cannot guarantee against colour loss, colour bleeding, and shrinkage; or against damage to weak and tender fabrics. 

We are unable to accept responsibility for loss or damage to beads, crystals, sequins, buttons, diamantes, pearls, buckles, metals, etc., due to their inherent unsuitability for dry cleaning. This is a design issue rather than a dry cleaning one - we have to rely to a certain extent on the fact that the manufacturer has attached these adequately and used materials suitable for dry cleaning.

Given the delicate nature of some leathers and suedes, all leather and sued garments are cleaned entirely at your own risk, and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for any damage or fading as a result of the dry cleaning process. All such items are cleaned at the owner's risk.

Our liability with respect to any damage to garments caused by us shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition. In any event this is disputed, the International Fair Claims guide will be used to determine the amount of compensation claimed.

No claims for damages will be recognised unless you advise us of this within forty eight (48) hours of collecting the garments.

loss of items

We exercise utmost care in processing garments received to avoid misplacement or loss of items. However, there will be instances where items may get misplaced or lost.

 

As such, we ask that you advise us of any discrepancy, along with your corresponding docket, within twenty four (24) hours of picking up your garments so that we may investigate the matter and make a determination.

Our liability with respect to any lost item shall not exceed ten (10) time our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition. In any event this is disputed, the International Fair Claims Guide for Consumer Textiles Products will be used to determine the amount of compensation claimed.

personal items

Please check all garments for money, jewellery, or other valuables prior to depositing them with us. If we find any valuables in your garments, we will make every effort to return them to you, but we cannot be held liable for the loss of any such articles that are forwarded to us.

scheduling & pick-up

We will do our best to schedule your dry cleaning at the agreed time for you to pick-up. This being said, we cannot be held accountable if we are late for unforeseen circumstances.

If your items are not collected within ninety (90) days, after several contact attempts have been made, Pristine Drycleaners reserves the right to dispose of them as they see fit. We are not responsible for any loss you may incur in such an event.

payment

All quoted prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax, and are subject to change without notice. Extras will be charged at the discretion of the dry cleaner, in order to process garments the best way possible.

​All invoices must be paid on collection of garments or as otherwise direct, and we reserve the right to retain your goods until payment in full is received.

If you no longer want our services, simply let us know and we will cancel them. Although we hope you are satisfied with our services, once we have dry cleaned your garments, we cannot offer a refund.

offers

All offers, whether displayed onsite, on the website, on an advertisement, leaflet, or any other means, are subject to change at anytime.

right to refuse &
statutory declaration

We reserve the right to refuse our services to any customer. 

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

privacy

We will use your customer information in the regular course of providing services to you. We respect your privacy and warrant that any information you give us will be held with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.

Providing us with correct and up to date personal information allows us to better serve you by:

 

  1. contacting you about any issues which may arise during the handling of your garments;

  2. mailing to you special promotional materials; and

  3. processing your credit card payments.

miscellaneous

As our business changes, we may want to modify some of terms in this agreement. Therefore, we encourage you to check back frequently to familiarise yourself with any changes.

We exercise utmost care in processing articles entrusted to us and use such processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and condition of each individual article. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses of or defects in materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This applies particularly, but not exclusively, to suedes, leathers, silks, satins, double-faced fabrics, vinyls, polyurethanes, etc. Responsibility also is disclaimed for trimmings, buckles, beads, buttons, bells, and sequins.

We cannot guarantee against colour loss and shrinkage: or against damage to weak and tender fabrics.

We are not responsible for articles not claimed. Unclaimed garments will be handled in accordance with State regulations.

jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia and the parties shall submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the State of Victoria, Australia.

This policy may change from time to time and is always available on our website. It is your responsibility to check back regularly for the currency of the policy and to ensure you understand our responsibilities and your rights.
